When do I sign up for Medicare

You can enroll during your:

  • Initial Enrollment Period (IEP): Starts 3 months before you turn 65
  • Open Enrollment Period (OEP): Jan 1 – Mar 31 each year
  • Special Enrollment Period (SEP): If you have qualifying life events (e.g., losing employer coverage)
  • Annual Enrollment Period (AEP): Oct 15- Dec 27 changes will begin on Jan 1 the following year
